Ms Botho Kebabonye is a seasoned leader with over 19 years work experience, including over a decade service as an Executive in the Botswana Parastatal and Government job market. Botho is the Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC), a position she assumed after her tenure as the Executive Director of Business Intelligence at the Botswana Investment and Trade Center (BITC) where she was responsible for strategy, research, risk and compliance and the overall intelligence and competitiveness information for the effective execution of the BITC mandate.

Her development journey includes the Executive Leadership Development Programme – University of Oxford, Senior Management Development Programme – University of Stellenbosch Business School and Developing Women in Leadership – University of cape Town Graduate School of Business. She is a certified member of different professional bodies including Balanced Scorecard – Palladium, Change Management = Prosci ADKAR methodology & Business Transformation and Operational Excellence, Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, Project Management – PRINCE 2, Monitoring and Evaluation and Corporate Governance.

Ms. Bayendi holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Management – University of Derby, BA (Social Science), DIP (Statistics) from the University of Botswana. A well-developed, diverse, and continuously evolving leader groomed in several boardrooms, reporting as a member of the Senior Management team, serving as a Board Secretary, and providing performance and governance oversight as a Board member.

Botho is passionate about organizational and personal excellence as well as transformation, having devoted her career to strategy development and effective execution in different organisations with diverse mandates and cultures including BQA, BHC, CEDA, Office of the President, BNPC, Botswana Prison Service and Central Statistics Office. This diversity groomed a bold leader ready to take an any challenge for business transformation and organizational excellence.

Botho has dealt with diverse stakeholders inwardly and outwardly, sharing insights and contributing to policy and strategy developments, earning respect from peers, coaching leaders, and creating relationships and willing partnerships to be leveraged for the advancement of her career success and that of the organisation she serves.

Ms. Bayendi currently serves in the Board of Botswana Medicines and Regulatory Authority (BOMRA), where she chairs the Governance and Nominations Committee. She is a Council Member at the ABM University College where she chairs the Business Development Committee.

Botho, alias Keba is a family woman and is married with three (3) children: Thabiso (15), Ofile (12) and Lethlabile (6).
